XMM-SSC, Consortium Meeting #31

CEA Saclay, April 16-17, 2018

The two main options are near Saclay or in the south of Paris.

Have a look at the transportation page to weigh the pros and cons.

Near Saclay:

The choice of hotels within walking distance of one of the two buses which run to Saclay is not enormous. I give their direct web sites here (no particular preference order), but they are often in French. They are also accessible (in English) via Booking.com.

  1. Hotel d Orsay near Le Guichet RER station and bus 9
  2. Tulip Inn near Palaiseau RER station and bus 91-06 (Palaiseau ville)
  3. Near Massy-Palaiseau RER station and bus 91-06:

-       ApartHotel Adagio Massy

-       ResidHome Massy

-       Sejours et Affaires Massy

The night life is rather poor there, but for a short stay it may not be a problem. The last two above are in not particularly pleasant surroundings (a business quarter).

In Paris:

There are plenty of hotels near the RER B line (Denfert-Rochereau, Luxembourg, Saint-Michel). See here a Paris metro map.

Another possibility is near porte d Orleans, coupled with using the chartered bus from porte d Orleans (see How to reach the meeting spot) or RER Cite Universitaire. Hotels are cheaper there, but it is further from Paris center.
