The superconducting magnets were developed for all kinds of applications in China. Some National projects are started on the basis of the superconductivity applied in the basic sciences and engineering R&D in the recent years. The projects for the high magnetic field superconducting magnet applied in the scientific instruments, 40T hybrid magnet system, NMR and 9.4T, 800mm, MRI superconducting magnet system and special industrial system are supported by the Chinese National and local Governments. For the high temperature superconductivity (HTSC) applications, some high temperature superconducting magnets were developed for fast charge and AC applications. The report reviews the recent progress of superconducting magnet technology in IEE, China.
