Bars are not the exclusive attribute of spirals. Even Early-Types galaxies may have prominent bars, as shown on the images in this page.

Bars in a nutshell

  2. • Surface brightness: brighter  than 22 mag.arcsec-2

  3. • Number: one

  4. • Color: saturated on our images....
