Miscellaneous :

Tomsick et al. 2008 :
  • J=12.786, H=11.657, Ks=11.983 (2MASS), R=20.3, I=17.0 (USNO-B1.0)
  • Absorbed power law, NH=11.7x1022 cm-2, Γ= 0.7, Unabs. 0.3-10 keV flux=60 e-12 erg/cm2/s
  • Favour an HMXB with local absorption although not possible to confirm since optical/IR counterpart is blended
Rodriguez et al. 2009 :
  • Swift XRT analysis => absorbed power law Γ=0.4 NH=3.5 x1022 cm-2
  • Fixing NH to the value of Tomsick et al. does not provide a good fit=> genuine variations of NH
  • further confirmation of the HMXB nature
Butler et al. 2009 :
  • Optical spectroscopy
  • V=22.2, R=19.3 and I=16.2.
  • Source is an HMXB
  • Companion B0 V or a O9 I star favour of a supergiant HMXB, hence the latter
