  • Detection with Swift/BAT and follow up observation with Swift/XRT=>refined position
  • G017.3244+00.1344 IR counterpart has magnitudes of 12.93, 12,34 and 11.89 at, respectively, 3.6 microns, 4.5 microns and 5.8 microns
  • 2 MASS source previously suggested is NOT the counterpart
  • Source spectrum quite absorbed => NH~4.4e22 cm-2 and Γ~0.2 (with an error of +-0.6)
  • Very probably a Galactic XRB

  • Chandra observation => refinement of the position Closest source is the UKIDS data a RA=18h 21m54.766s, Dec=-13 °ree; 47' 26.77", with J=18.00, H=16.01, Ks=14.44

  • Swift+INTEGRAL spectrum fitted with absorbed cut-off power law NH 3x1022, Γ~1, and Ecut~6 keV

  • Discovery of orbital period P=72.44 days in BAT data
  • Souirce detected only in 5 XRT pointings out of 12
  • Broad band X-ray spectral analysis => absorbed cut-off power law NH~4 x 1022 cm-2, Γ~-0.1, Ecut~11 keV
  • Source is an HMXB, probably with Be companion
