How to reach the Astrophysics Division - CEA SAclay

The Astrophysics Division is located about 1km south from the main CEA Saclay at
Orme des Merisiers, Building 709

Transportation

Several ways to reach the CEA-Saclay.

From Paris by RER (map), estimated time 55mn

  1. At subway station Denfert-Rochereau, take the RER, Line 'B4', direction 'Saint Rémy les Chevreuses'.
  2. Exit at 'Le Guichet'.
  3. A bus will drive you to your final destination.

From Paris by car : on the A6 highway (maps GIF or PDF), estimated time 45mn

  1. Exit the Boulevard Périphérique at Porte d'Orléans.
  2. Take the A6 highway, following the direction Bordeaux-Nantes.
  3. Two kilometres later, take the A10 highway on your right, following the direction Bordeaux-Nantes.
  4. Two kilometres later, follow the direction Palaiseau-Bordeaux.
  5. After the big curve, take the left lane and one kilometre later follow the direction Versailles-Saclay.
  6. One kilometre later, after passing under a bridge, take on your left the D36 road to Saclay.
  7. Follow the D36 road during five kilometres.
  8. One traffic light and another 500 metres later. Keep following the direction of Saclay or Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires.
  9. At the roundabout "Christ de Saclay", take the D36 road after a three quarter turn, following the direction of Gif sur Yvette.
  10. Follow this road during one kilometre, meet a roundabout, another one kilometre and a roundabout near a golf field. After a three quarter turn take the direction Orme des Merisiers.
  11. 100 metres later on your right take the road bordered with a red bricks wall. Take the second road on your left. Your are in front of the Service d'Astrophysique, building #709.

From Paris by car : on the N118 road (maps GIF or PDF), estimated time 45mn

  1. Exit the Boulevard Périphérique at Porte de Saint-Cloud.
  2. Cross the Pont de Sèvres and follow the N118, direction Bordeaux.
  3. Exit at Saclay.
  4. At the roundabout "Christ de Saclay", take the D36 road after a three quarter turn, following the direction of Gif sur Yvette
  5. Follow this road during one kilometre, meet a roundabout, another one kilometre and a roundabout near a golf field. After a three quarter turn take the direction Orme des Merisiers.
  6. 100 metres later on your right take the road bordered with a red bricks wall. Take the second road on your left. Your are in front of the Service d'Astrophysique, building #709.

From Orly Ouest airport (maps GIF or PDF), estimated time 30mn

  1. Leave the Orly airport following the direction of PARIS.
  2. One kilometre later take the N7 road, direction Villejuif.
  3. At the first intersection (clover leaf) take the A86 highway, following the direction Bordeaux-Nantes-Chartres.
  4. Two kilometres later, take the A6 highway on your right, following the direction Bordeaux-Nantes.
  5. Two kilometres later, take the A10 highway on your right, following the direction Bordeaux-Nantes.
  6. Two kilometres later, follow the direction Palaiseau-Bordeaux.
