In this seminar recent developments in improving the sensitivity of the collinear laser spectroscopy method will be presented. This high-resolution laser spectroscopy technique allows measuring the nuclear spin, magnetic moment and quadrupole moment, as well as changes in the mean square charge radius over a long chain of isotopes all in one single experiment. Some recently studied physics cases will be presented. An outlook to future possibilities at SPIRAL2-DESIR will be given.
