PandaX III is an international project at Jin-Ping Underground Lab China, aiming to accomplish a ton-scale Xe136 neutrinoless double-beta decay experiment in the next 5-7 years. It uses a high-pressure Xe136 TPC, observing the electronic tracks during the beta decay process. The experiment promises a high-energy resolution, low radioactivity, and super discrimination capability against radioactive backgrounds, and is one of the few most promising approaches to detect Majorana neutrinos if their masses have an inverted hierarchy.
