In the Orsay area, a process of re-organization of the historical laboratories (LAL, IPN, CSNSM, IMNC, LPT) is going on, aiming at a stronger mutual integration. In this context, several thematic working groups have been set up with the purpose to set the grounds for the scientific project of the new integrated structure that will be born.
The working group "double beta decay" has organized a meeting in thisframework, which will take place at CSNSM on March 14th. This meeting
should give an overview of the field, with a focus on the expertise and the potential of the Orsay area and surrounding.
While in the afternoon there will be a closed session with the participation of the working group members only, in the morning we will have an open session with 4 general presentations that should almost cover the present scenario of double beta decay in the international and
local context. The tentative agenda is below.
The morning session is open to everybody and we will be happy to have a large participation from the GDR neutrino members. It will be a good occasion to grasp a global vision of the status and the prospects of the experimental search for double beta decay. Please, diffuse this information in your institutions.
