Scientists collaborating in particle physics experiments at Tevatron (Fermilab) and the LHC (Cern) have just achieved unprecedented precision on the mass of the heaviest particle of the standard model: the quark top. This could give keys to research the new physics beyond the standard model. Researchers from the Institut de recherche sur les lois fondamentales de l'Univers (CEA Irfu) and CNRS are associated with these results.
