Tesla Detector Magnet Design

The TESLA detector asks for a strong and very homogeneous magnetic field within its useful volume.
In this respect, a large superconducting magnet has been designed, with special attention to get
the requested homogeneity. The magnet design is described in this paper, as well as a short
description of the main technical choices. Finally, some elements about the planning and cost 
estimate are given.
