Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer l'édition 2018 de l'école SOS (School of Statistics) qui aura lieu du 28 mai au 1er juin 2018. Cette édition se tiendra à La Londe Les Maures près de Hyères dans le Var. Cette école est destinée aux doctorants, post-doctorants, chercheurs qui souhaitent compléter ou approfondir leurs connaissances des méthodes statistiques employées en physique subatomique, en astroparticule ou en cosmologie.
Le programme complet sera disponible bientôt, il couvrira les concepts fondamentaux jusqu’aux techniques plus avancées. Un accent particulier sera mis cette année sur les techniques d'apprentissage automatique et un temps important sera dédié à des sessions pratiques qui permettront d'illustrer les concepts présentés avec des outils avancés (bibliothèque scikit-learn, keras, tensorflow, notebook jupyter, ...) et leur utilisation dans le cadre de nos champs de recherche. Les cours auront lieu en anglais.
Les frais de séjour et d’inscriptions pour les personnels CEA sont de 650 euros (gratuits pour les personnels CNRS). L’ouverture des inscriptions aura lieu début mars, un message vous en informera.

The 2018 edition of the School on Statistical data analysis will be held at La Londe Les Maures near Hyères, in South-eastern France, between 28 May and 1 June 2018. The school targets PHD students,post-docs and senior scientists wishing to strengthen their knowledge or discover new methods in statistical analysis applied in subatomic and astroparticle physics and cosmology.
The complete program will be available soon. Lectures will be given in English and span from fundamental concepts to advanced topics. A special focus will be put this year on machine learning techniques and tools. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to hands-on sessions to introduce advanced tools (scikit-learn library, keras, tensorflow, jupyter notebook, ...) and their applications to our domain.
The school is free of charge for CNRS personnel, fees* will be asked for others (650 euros for CEA members). Registration will open early in March, an announcement will be sent by mail.
