Microscopic description of nuclear structure with a Single-Reference and Multi-Reference Energy Density Functional perspective

The symmetry projected Generator Coordinate Method will be presented
as a valuable tool to account for relevant dynamical correlations when describing
exotic nuclei far away from the valley of stability and neutron deficient
nuclear systems. In addition we will also take the chance to discuss the topic
of shape transitions around 190W and the so called critical point symmetries
E(5) and X(5). The results to be presented have been obtained with both
Skyrme and Gogny interactions.
