The reaction dynamics induced by light weakly-bound nuclei is particularly interesting in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier, where, due to their very weak binding eneries, these projectiles are expected to trigger a larger variety of nuclear processes.
At INFN-LNL (Italy) a facility, named EXOTIC, for the in-flight production of light RIBs was installed and delivered so far seven secondary beams (7Be, 8Li, 8B, 10C, 11C, 15O and 17F) in the energy range between 1.5 and 6 MeV/u. RIBs were employed for reaction dynamics studies, resonant scattering experiments and nuclear astrophyics measurements.
In this talk, the results of the experiments aimed at investigating direct processes (scattering, transfer, breakup) in the reactions 7Be+208Pb and 8B+208Pb (performed with EXOTIC and with CRIB (Japan), respectively) in the energy range around the Coulomb barrier will be presented.
