Supersymmetry after the first limits from the LHC

I will present the motivations for supersymmetric theories, as well as some theoretical and phenomenological problems they create. Then I will review the latest searches for superparticles at the LHC, and comment on their impact on the allowed parameter space of supersymmetry.
