Started at around 2012 , the CepC project in China, is being developed with an increasing strength, especially over the last 3-4 years. This progress is reflected in the annual international workshops held at IHEP in Beijing, as well as at workshops organized worldwide, e.g. Rome (2018), Oxford and Chicago (2019), Marseille (2020) and in the Conceptual Design Reports released end of 2018.

This talk will review the most up-to-date status of the project. A main emphasis will be given to the following aspects: the accelerator, the foreseen funding and timescale scenarii, the proposed locations, the involvement of the Chinese Industry, the detectors designs and R&D, a comparison with the FCCee and Linear electron positron projects in terms of Physics reach and timescale. At the end, this talk will tackle the addition of a very high energy hadron collider, the Super proton-proton Collider (SppC), as a second stage, with final words about the “internationalization” of this overall HEP project.
