Miscellaneous :

Rodriguez et al. 2010 :
  • Swift observations => 4 X-ray counterparts, 2 are HII regions, brightest src is compatible with the nucleus of NGC 4939 a z=0.01374 Sey 2. Considered most likley counterpart
  • Counterpart at IR, optical, UV wavelengths
  • K=8.68, H=8.50, J=9.62, I=6.7, R=11.2, V=14.35, B=15.33, U=15.66, UVW1=16.80, UVM2=17.55, UVW2=17.41
  • XRT spectrum shows evidence for a soft excess on top on an absorbed power law
  • Fit with partial covering+power law : NH=29 x1022 cm-2, covering fraction=97%, Γ=2
  • Thermal emission (kT=0.24 keV)+ absorbed power law also provides a good fit
