We introduce two recent data analysis concepts, Sparsity and Compressed Sensing. Sparsity is a related to data representation, and Compressed Sensing is a new sampling theory which is certainly one of the most important discovery in data processing during the last ten years.

We show how these new idea helps us for solving problems that occurs in different astronomical projects such as FERMI, PLANCK or EUCLID.
