Towards the 3-dimensional nucleon structure, TMDs and SIDIS

A new phase in our exploration of the nucleon structure has developed in the last decade. New concepts and measurable quantities, the Generalized and the Transverse Momentum Dependent Partonic Distributions (GPDs and TMDs) offer an insight into the 3-dimensional picture of protons and neutrons. The role of TMDs in Semi-Inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (SIDIS) is discussed.
