The EROS brown dwarfs
img Podcast Alain Milsztajn : Starting in 1990, a large collaboration of scientists from different laboratories in particles physics and astrophysics gathered to proceed to a large survey of dark matter in the Galaxy. The program called EROS (for Expérience de Recherche d'Objets Sombres) makes use of the gravitational lensing to search for small dark objects. The project uses a dedicated telescope at the ESO observatory (La Silla) till 2002 when the observations were stopped with negative results. Alain Milsztajn, one of the leading promotors of the project, explains how important was this search and the important meaning of this negative result. Alain Milsztajn has recorded this interview only a few weeks before his early disparition and this contribution testifies of his quest.
