ERC project G-LEAD
I am the PI of the G-LEAD ERC project (GigaHertz Laboratory Experiments for Axion Dark matter).
The goal of the project is to build an experiment dedicated to axion dark matter. It involves intense magnetic fields, produced either by permanent magnets or superconducting ones. One expect to convert axions into radiofrequency waves, and impose boundary conditions that force their power into a receiver. The whole apparatus is cooled down at liquid helium temperature to increase sensitivity.
