Journée de l'Irfu sur la physique du Higgs Mercredi 2 novembre 2011 The « Journée de l'Irfu sur la physique du Higgs » took place on November 2, 2011. This event was designed to review and to discuss current state-of-the-art of Higgs searches and to exchange knowledge and experience between Irfu groups involved in the LHC (ATLAS, CMS) and Tevatron (D0) experiments. The « Journée de l'Irfu sur la physique du Higgs » was structured into two sessions. The morning plenary session was dedicated to several major reports: discussion of theoretical aspects of Higgs physics, review of the latest Higgs results from hadron colliders, including Tevatron and LHC combination results, and Higgs prospects at the future Linear Collider. The afternoon session allowed participants to discuss technical aspects of Higgs search analysis and Monte Carlo simulation tools in ATLAS, CMS and D0 experiments and sensitivities for a Higgs boson discovery. At the end of the session, there was a time available for the discussion of future search strategies, depending on if there’s a Higgs particle or not. Meeting agenda and presentation slides are available on the web at: http://indico.in2p3.fr/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=5985 The next meeting in series is planned for spring 2012.
