The Systems Engineering Department has the skills and capacity to prototype mechanical systems. This work is carried out in the early stages of projects and allows a number of technical choices to be validated.
The DIS is capable of integrating highly complex mechanical systems thanks to its skills in mechanics and three-dimensional measurements.
The department thus integrates accelerator or detector sub-assemblies. A surveyor is involved in the alignment and adjustment phases of physics equipment.
