Responsibilities

Thesis supervisor (2009-2012) of Vincent DURAND.

Thesis title: "Mesure du paramètre de mélange leptonique θ13 auprès de l'expérience d'antineutrinos de réacteur Double Chooz". Thesis defended on September the 20th, 2012.

Co-convener of the GdR-GT1 (2011–2012)

The GdR (“Groupement de Recherche”) is a common structure of CEA & CNRS to gather the French neutrino groups to improve the fundamental understanding of neutrinos through a coherent and unified approach. The GT1 (“Groupe de Travail 1”) is the working group devoted to the determination of the fundamental properties of neutrinos.

Statistical analysis in European cluster of Double Chooz

I am responsible of the statistical analysis to measure the leptonic parameter θ13.

Saclay analysis group (2009-2012)

Analysis coordinator of the Saclay group (SPP, SPhN) in Double Chooz experiment.

Responsible of the sensitivity studies of Double Chooz for the Letter of Intent (2004) and the Proposal of the experiment (2006)

Based on my thesis work, I was responsible of the computation of the experiment sensitivity and its discovery potential with respect to the fundamental paramter θ13 wich governs the amplitude neutrino oscillations at middle baselines (~km) for neutrino energies at the MeV scale. I have been responsible of the corresponding part in the Double Chooz Letter of Intent (2004) the Proposal of the experiment (2006).

Member of Double Chooz Technical Board (2005-2012)

I am a member of the technical board of Double Chooz. This technical board is in charge of the validation of the detector concept, the construction preparation and operation until the integration on site. I had in charge the reponsibility attached to the chemical compatibility of material with the different liquid component of the detector (liquid scintillators and oils).

Material compatibility certification in Double Chooz and Nucifer

I am responsible of the material compatibility activity for Double Chooz, and also for Nucifer. This activity is a long term R&D activity whose goal is to certify the safety of the detector operation with a list of approved materials. The aim is to ensure chemical and optical stability of liquids for the duration of the experiment, typically 3 to 5 years.

Webmaster of the Double Chooz web site, the SPP site

I am responsible of all the design, engine, structure, maintenance and other technical aspects of the Double Chooz web site written in php, html and css with some use of MySQL. This site is managed as a simple and robust CMS. The engine uses a CVS server to ensure collaborative efforts, contributions from all our collaborators and easy maintenance for the managers. This site has worked flawlessly for more than 7 years already!

I am also reponsible of the SPP web sites (the internet site is under refactoring, the intranet site has been already renewed).
