The W7X and the JT-60SA test facilities, which have been used to qualify large magnets for fusion, are reusable for either magnet tests up to 25 kA currents or for other applications in the cryogenic temperature range greater than or equal to 4.2 K in liquid or in supercritical gas. In addition, the laboratory has a vertical cryostat and a horizontal cryostat with the dimensions of the LHC magnets, which, although of smaller dimensions, have been extensively, adapted for testing dipole, accelerator quadrupole and detector components up to temperatures of 1.8 K.
