The Félix Innovateur Centralien prize was awarded to Sébastien Procureur.

The Irène Joliot-Curie Prize for Woman Scientist of the Year was awarded to Nathalie Palanque-Delabrouille.

The Grand Prix Franco-Taiwan awarded by the Academie des Sciences & Academie Sinica was given to Suzanne Madden. 

The Jaffé Award from the French Academy of Sciences (Fondation de l'Institut de France) was given to David Elbaz.   

The HPC Wire: Best Enabled Science, SuperComputing 2017 award was given to Allan-Sacha Brun.   

Francisco Jose Iguaz Gutierrez was distinguished with the award of an Enhanced CEA-Eurotalents fellowship (PCOFUND-GA-2013-600382) for the period 2017-2019.

Maarten Boonekamp was distinguished by the award of an ANR funding on electroweak physics at the LHC, for the period 2017-2021.

David Elbaz received the President's International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) Award from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Anne-Isabelle Etienvre received the "Chevalier de l'ordre national du mérite" medal.


The 2016 Innovation Fiber Award was presented by Optics Valley to Olivier Besida.

1/1371st of the "BreakThrough prize 2016 in Fundamental Physics", awarded jointly to the Daya Bay, Kamland, K2K, T2K, Sudbury Neutrino Observatory and Super-Kamiokande projects was given to Denis Calvet, Marco Zito and Edoardo Mazzucato.

The Young Researcher Award, SF2A, has been awarded to Frédéric Bournaud.

The International Astrostatistics Association (IAA) Fellow Prize was given to Jean-Luc Starck.

The Villemot Prize was given to André Brahic.

Daniel Pomarède is distinguished by being selected in the "10 most important discoveries of the year" of the monthly review "La Recherche" for the discovery of Laniakea (n°495 of January 2015).

Patrice Bouchet receives the "Significant Achievement Award" from NASA (2014): "Presented by the NASA JWST Project in recognition of [his] extraordinary dedication and contributions, March 2014".

Anne-Isabelle Etienvre is made Chevalier de l'ordre des Palmes académiques.

Anne Decourchelle is made Chevalier de l'ordre des Palmes académiques.


The Laclare prize was awarded to Antoine Chancé.

The special prize of the jury Engineers of the Year 2013 Usine Nouvelle was awarded to Pierre Védrine.

Patrice Bouchet receives the European Space Agency (ESA) special distinction: "In recognition of [his] extraordinary contribution to the JWST mission, February 2013".

The prize of 'Nauka/Interperiodica' of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for the series of review articles published in the journal ECHAIA: "Physics of elementary particles and atomic nuclei" has been awarded to Egle Tomasi.

The SF2A Thesis Prize has been awarded to Antoine Strugarek for his thesis entitled "Turbulence, transport and con-finement: from tokamaks to the magnetism of stars".
