Description de l'offre
We welcome applications from motivated experimental particle physicists with excellent scientific record and marked hardware profile, wishing to join the ATLAS experiment. The activities of the ATLAS group cover detector development (from R&D to commissioning for the central detector, the electromagnetic calorimeter and the muon spectrometer) and data analysis for Higgs boson physics, quark top physics and electroweak precision physics. Future activities are focused on phase-2 upgrades to prepare the detector for the LHC high luminosity phase, and the analysis of data from the third LHC data period expected to start in early 2022.
The application will be composed of:
a Curriculum Vitæ,
a letter of motivation,
a description of the candidate’s past scientific activity (4 pages at most),
a description of the candidate’s future research project (3 pages at most),
a list of publications and internal notes, emphasizing the candidate’s personal contributions; the most significant ones (3 at most) should be attached,
a list of talks at conferences, workshops, and seminars,
3 letters of recommendation (which should be sent directly to the e-mail address below),
