Quantum Chromodynamics, the theory of the strong force, allows

the interaction among gluons, the gauge meson of the theory, with

the same coupling as the quark-gluon interaction. This suggests the

formation of color singlet bound states of only gluons: the glueballs.

I will analyze how their properties manifest in experimental spectra

and will show that they provide a good signature for color deconfinement.
