Workshop on Microphone-pattern Gas Detectors

CERN organizes a workshop under the title: Microphone-pattern Gas Detectors : status and perspective Friday January 20 2006 from 10:00 to 18:00. The goal is to show the performances of the new gas detectors MICROMEGAS and GEM and their possible use for the needs for the future SLHC and ILC. There will be 5 presentations per subject : the morning around the GEM and in the afternoon around MICROMEGAS. Also an introduction per G Charpak, a presentation of challenge LHC and ILC and a discussion of approximately 45 minutes. The program is already announced on the site of the CERN:
